Join a Deaf storyteller and a children's librarian for stories, rhymes, songs and crafts presented in both American Sign Language (ASL) and English. For children of all ages and abilities together with a parent or caregiver. Free – no registration required. ASL interpreters provided.

Registration required. Celebrate “Canada Learning Code Week” by participating in a fun coding lesson for kids in the Tommy Douglas Computer Lab. Learn about coding concepts and have fun using the programming language Scratch. Our lesson will be based on an activity developed by Teachers Learning Code.

Reading Buddies is a program where teens and children are paired up for reading practice in a safe, fun and friendly environment. The goals of this program are to provide children with extra reading practice and to provide teens with leadership skills and an opportunity to engage with community.

Children must be in grade 2, 3 or 4. Registered children must attend all five sessions, Fridays July 7 to August 4. 

Register in person at the Tommy Douglas branch, located at 7311 Kingsway. The program is free, but space is limited, so be sure to register early. Registration opens Thursday, June 1.
