During COVID-19, parents are feeling more stressed than ever before. Parents benefit from understanding their own emotional states, and from developing strategies to nurture self-compassion.

In this session, parents learn how to support their own mental and emotional wellbeing, so that they can offer their children the warmth, presence and encouragement needed to get through challenging times. There will be a discussion on practical tips to promote an understanding of:

  • What happens to our nervous systems when things in our world seem to be falling apart
  • How best to manage our emotions and create healthy relationships
  • The path to regaining our confidence and be the role models we aspire to be for our children.

This event is part of Parenting Learning Event 2021 in partnership with Burnaby Family Life.
