There are courses on career improvement, productivity, marketing and more. If you want to acquire more business and technology skills then this session is for you.

Prerequisite: Must be comfortable using computer, keyboard and mouse and have valid Burnaby Library card. Registration begins on August 27 at 10 am.

Thursday September 27
6:30 pm to 8:30 pm

This class will introduce you to the basics of creating a slideshow presentation using Microsoft Powerpoint 2010.  Learn how to create slides, insert text, and edit your presentation!

Basic computer knowledge is necessary to register. Registration begins on August 27 at 10 am.

Learn the basics of word processing. If you have basic computer skills but are baffled by word processing, this course is for you.

Prerequisite: Must be comfortable using computer, keyboard and mouse.

Thursday, October 18
10:30 am to 12:30 pm

This first class will teach basic commands and functions of MS Excel - creating a new spreadsheet, entering, deleting and formatting data, sorting information & creating basic formula, plus saving and printing. 

The second class will teach making a budget, applying multiplication and division formulas, and making a chart or graph from a spreadsheet. The second class is Thursday, October 25, 10:30-12:30.

Prerequisite: Must be comfortable using computer, keyboard and mouse.

Registration starts September 24th. You are expected to attend both sessions.

Learn the basics of programming Sphero, a robot toy controlled by an app on a tablet or smartphone. This program will feature a short lesson followed by a fun game.

Adults must attend the program with children younger than 10. When you register, please indicate the name of the child (not the caregiver).
