If you can’t find an item you’re looking for in the library catalogue, you can request it. We attempt to fill your request by either purchasing the title or borrowing it from another library through interlibrary loan. You can also make interlibrary loan requests yourself by searching for the item you want in Illume and filling out the form.
Suggest a title using the form below or give us a call at 604-436-5400.
If you’re suggesting a print book and you would like us to place a hold on it for you, include your library card number and the name of your preferred pickup branch. We won't place holds on items other than print books. Check back in our library catalogue to place your own request.
We tend to purchase titles published in the past two years that will be of widespread interest to the community or that help diversify our collection. Older, out of print titles and items that don’t meet our selection criteria are requested from other libraries through interlibrary loan.
Due to the high volume of suggestions we receive, please limit your suggestions to three titles per month.
Before you suggest a title, please search the catalogue to see if it’s already available.
