Burnaby Public Library is pleased to present our Annual Report, highlighting a year of resilience, adaptation and community engagement. We faced new challenges in 2022 including an accidental fire and planned renovations at Bob Prittie Metrotown, but we remained dedicated to serving the community throughout.

We were excited to be able to reconnect in-person after two years of primarily online engagement, and we made sure to prioritize core programs that fostered learning and encouraged connection. To meet the changing needs of our community, we also reevaluated and expanded our physical spaces, creating new ways to support the growth and development of the community for years to come.

Introspection was also important to us this year. We took time to pause, reflect and gain a deeper understanding of the diverse community in Burnaby. Additionally, our digital collection continued to grow, offering a bigger selection of e-books, audiobooks and digital resources to patrons.
