McGill Carpet Replacement and Service Impacts

During October, we will be installing new carpet throughout areas of our McGill location. Parts of the library will be inaccessible to the public and staff while work is being done. There may be some intermittent noise in the day. Earplugs are available from the Service Desk.

Some key dates to note: 

Dates	Area or Services Impacted
October 6 to 8	Seating areas and collections in the south side of the library will be closed.
October 9	Teen space will be closed.
October 10	West lounge, newspaper and magazine area will be closed.
October 14 and 15	Seating, study areas and collections in the north side of the library will be closed.
October 16	Express and catalogue computers will be unavailable.
October 17	Public computers, scanners and printers will be unavailable.
October 20 and October 21	The outside library return will be closed at 8pm on October 20, and will reopen at 10am on October 22. We can only accept returns inside McGill during open hours on October 21.
October 27 to October 29	The Children's area and collection will be closed.

You can still access holds, self-checkout machines, washrooms and the service desk while carpet installation is underway.
