Printing Upgrades at Burnaby Public Library
Feb 8, 2023
We're upgrading our printers and scanners, and introducing additional printing services across all BPL locations.
These equipment upgrades were made with community feedback in mind, and will make printing more streamlined, convenient and accessible to library visitors. Over the next two months, we'll be working to roll out the following features:
- Free printing credits. Library members will have $5 of free printing each month. Submit your print job using your library card number to use your free printing. Not a library member yet? Sign up for free.
- Wireless printing. Print from your own device, at home or on the go. Visit any BPL location to pick up your print job.
- Colour printing. It's finally available at BPL! You'll be able to print in colour from any of our library computers, our scanning stations, or your own device.
- Scanning and photocopying stations. New combined scanning and photocopying stations. Scan your documents and send to our print station.
Printer upgrade timeline
New printers and scanners will be installed branch by branch.
While new equipment is being installed at a branch, public computers, printers, scanners and photocopiers will be unavailable at that location.
After equipment has been installed at a branch, you can use additional printing services from that location, including wireless printing, colour printing and printing credits.
Check our printer upgrade timeline for service impacts and changes:
