Community Rooms
In accordance with the Library Board policy: Use of Library Space, the community rooms at Bob Prittie Metrotown, McGill and Tommy Douglas are available to community groups and non-profit organizations that meet the policy's criteria, and are free of charge. All rooms are accessible and have access to Wi-Fi.
Users of library spaces, including community rooms, must follow the Library’s Code of Conduct, which states that users must be respectful, safe and responsible, and that racism, transphobia, homophobia, and any other form of discrimination, harassment and verbal abuse will not be tolerated.
To request a room booking, fill out a BPL Community Room Application [PDF] and bring it to the service desk at your preferred location, or email it to rooms@bpl.bc.ca. A branch manager will review and respond to your booking request. This process may take up to one week.
Rooms may be booked during the following times:
Monday to Thursday: 10:00am to 7:45pm
Friday, Saturday and Sunday: 10:00am to 5:40pm

When you request a room at Tommy Douglas, you will be assigned to either Community Room 1 or Community Room 2, depending on availability.
