Your donation helps so much...
For more than six decades, Burnaby Public Library has been significantly improved through generous donations received from thousands of library supporters. Donations large and small ensure that your library will continue to evolve and serve the community in the future.
Tax deductible donations can be made to:
- Burnaby Public Library endowment fund, which funds services, programs and collections
- Bridget Perrot Trust [PDF], which funds materials and equipment for Home Library & Accessible Services
- Julia Nelson Trust [PDF], which supports teen services at BPL
If you would like your donation to be used for a specific purpose other than these funds, please contact Beth Davies, Chief Librarian at 604-436-5431 or email@example.com to discuss your wishes.
Donations may be made online via Canada Helps, in person at any library branch, or by mail:

Burnaby Public Library is a registered charity and donors receive a charitable tax receipt for all donations. Gifts may take the form of cash donations, bequests, naming the library as beneficiary of a life insurance policy, or gifts of real property.
Burnaby Public Library accepts donations of books and other library materials.
Donations are accepted in person at the information desk of your local Burnaby Public Library branch. We accept only items in excellent condition (no loose bindings, marked pages or water damage) and of current interest. Due to space limitations, we can accept a maximum of two shopping bags (up to 20 lbs) of donations at one time. We don't add donated material to our collections, but the funds generated from the sale of these materials are used to enhance BPL collections and services.
Once recieved, donated materials are the exclusive property of Burnaby Public Library.
