E-books and downloadable audiobooks | 21 days | 10 |
Speed Reads and Speed Views | 7 days | 2 |
Storytime Kits (for Group Loan Memberships) | 28 days | 2 |
Renewing
Renewals extend the length of time that you can borrow a library item, so you can keep it for another loan period.
Most items are renewed by our automatic renewal system two days before the item is due. The new loan period will start from the date of renewal.
Things that can't be renewed:
- Items that have already been renewed twice
- Items on hold for another person
- Book club sets
- Speed reads and speed views
- Storytime kits
- Children's holiday books
- Items borrowed from other libraries (interlibrary loans)
If you would like to opt out of automatic renewals, contact us.
You can also renew items yourself and check due dates by:
- Logging into your account
- Using our BPL app for Apple or Android devices
- Calling our automated renewal system at 604-293-0034
If an item can't be renewed, don't worry: there are no late fees! Return items within 28 days of their due date so you can continue borrowing other items.
