A loan period is the length of time you can borrow library materials.

Borrow up to 50 items on your library account at one time.

There are borrowing limits for some items:

Renewals extend the length of time that you can borrow a library item, so you can keep it for another loan period.

Most items are renewed by our automatic renewal system two days before the item is due. The new loan period will start from the date of renewal.

Things that can't be renewed:

  • Items on hold for another person
  • Book club sets
  • Storytime kits
  • Children's holiday books
  • Interlibrary loans
  • Items that have already been renewed twice

If you would like to opt out of automatic renewals, contact us.

If an item can't be renewed, don't worry: there are no late fees! Return items within 28 days of their due date so you can continue borrowing other items.
